Published in winter of 2007. The new edition
implements an innovative methodology used to
increase the relevance of impairment ratings,
improve internal consistency, promote greater
precision, and simplify the rating process. This
new method is based on the modification of the
framework of the International Classification of
Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF). The 6th
Edition acts as the new standard in impairment
evaluation while featuring the same fundamental
principles as previous editions.
