Evaluations and Medical Peer or Records Reviews. All providers undergo a
strict credentialing process to assure our clients that these providers are
licensed in their particular jurisdiction and are board-certified in their
area of expertise. Our Medical Director is Elizabeth Genovese, MD, MBA who
oversees the full-time Clinical Management Staff and the clinical and
quality assurance aspects of IMX Medical Management Services.
Clinical Management Staff
Elizabeth Genovese, MD, MBA, FACOEM, FAADEP –
Medical Director
Dr. Elizabeth Genovese received her BA from Harvard, her MD from the
University of Pennsylvania, and her MBA from the Wharton School. Holding
board certifications in Internal Medicine, and Preventative (Occupational)
Medicine, she is Medical Director for IMX Medical Management Services. This
role involves oversight and development of IMX’s Programs: Independent
Medical, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Medical and Peer Reviews, and
Occupational Medicine Consulting.
Dr. Genovese is Course Director for ACOEM’s Musculoskeletal Examination and
Treatment course, Co-Director of the ACOEM Clinical Practice Guidelines
course, and has lectured for the American College of Occupational and
Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), the American Academy of Disability
Evaluation Physicians (AADEP). She is adjunct professor at the University Of
Pennsylvania School Of Medicine and is a member of the Coding and
Classification Committee, Stay at Work/Return to Work Committee,
Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guideline Committee, and Spine Update
Committee. Most recently she has served as lead chair for the revision of
ACOEM’s Chronic Pain Guideline. Publications include chapters in “Disability
Evaluation” - “A Physicians’ Guide to Return to Work” and “Guides to the
Evaluation of Disease and Injury Causation”, articles in “Insights” (the
Guidelines Newsletter). Dr. Genovese was also a contributing editor for the
“ACOEM Clinical Practice Guidelines 2nd edition” and for the “AMA Guides to
Impairment – 6th edition”, associate editor for the revised “ACOEM Chronic
Pain Guideline”, and is co-editor and co-author of the newly published
“Guide to the Evaluation of Functional Ability”-Published by AMA Press in
2009.
Peter Blumenthal, MD, MPH, FACPM – NJ Regional Medical Director
Dr. Blumenthal received his MD from the Medical School in Bonn, Germany and
his MPH from the joint program at UMDNJ and Rutgers. He is board certified
by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine and by
the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Dr. Blumenthal holds an
appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ - NJMS. He
is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine, the American
College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and the American College
of Clinical Pharmacology. Locally, he has served as Chair of the
Medical/Legal Coordination Committee and President of the Essex County
Medical Society, regionally as Chair of the Council on Communications of the
Medical Society of New Jersey, and nationally as Speaker of the House of the
American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Blumenthal
performs Independent Medical Evaluations, Orthopaedic Permanency
Evaluations, Medical Record Reviews and Work Fitness Examinations throughout
NJ.
Jill S. Galper, PT, MEd – VP Clinical Program
Development
Ms. Galper received her BS in Physical Therapy, from the University of
Pittsburgh and her Master’s Degree from Temple University. She is adjunct
faculty member of Physical Therapy at UMDNJ in NJ. Ms. Galper has an
extensive clinical background in orthopaedic physical therapy and industrial
rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association
and serves as the treasurer of the PA, SE District. She is an affiliate
member of ACOEM and has served as a member on the Practice Guidelines Panel
for the revision of the Low Back Guidelines and Chronic Pain Guidelines. Ms.
Galper is Co-author and Co-editor of the newly published “Guide to the
Evaluation of Functional Ability”-Published by AMA Press in 2009. She is
licensed in DE, PA and NJ. She performs Job Analyses and Ergonomic
Assessments. Ms. Galper oversees the clinical aspects of the IMX national
Functional Capacity Evaluation Testing Program, and performs FCEs throughout
the states of DE, NJ and PA.
James A. Lamprakos, DO – VP Clinical Services
Dr. Lamprakos received his BS from Penn State University and his DO from the
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic
Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He holds Board Certifications in Family
Practice and Sports Medicine. Dr. Lamprakos is also a certified Medical
Review Officer. Dr. Lamprakos is licensed in PA, NJ and Wisconsin. Dr.
Lamprakos is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American
Osteopathic Occupational and Preventive Medicine Association, and is working
towards his CAQ for Occupational Medicine. He is also a member of the
American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, American
Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians, and the American Board of
Osteopathy - Family Physicians. Dr. Lamprakos performs IMEs, Medical Record
Reviews, and Orthopaedic Permanency Evaluations throughout the states of PA
and NJ.
Kelly Allen, MD, CIME
Dr. Allen received her BA in from Rutgers University, and her MD from UMDNJ
Medical School in Newark, NJ. She completed her internship and residency at
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is Board
Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and by the American Board
of Independent Medical Examiners. She is licensed in both PA and NJ. She is
the CME Editor for the “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Book” of
eMedicine.com. Dr. Allen has an extensive background in the performance and
evaluation of electrodiagnostic studies. She is an attending staff
Physiatrist at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, and Virtua – West Jersey
Hospital Health System. Dr. Allen performs Independent Medical Evaluations,
Medical Record/Peer Reviews and Orthopaedic and Neurological Permanency
Evaluations throughout NJ.
